5 hacks for beautiful hair

  1. Comb your hair before washing it.
    Comb your hair thoroughly before you wash it.  This ensures that it’s not knotty and so it won’t get tangled when you wash it. Why is it so important? Hair is particularly sensitive when it is wet, so brushing it when it’s wet can damage or even break it.

  2. Let your hair air dry.
    After washing it, let your hair dry naturally overnight and only use styling tools the next morning, when it’s thoroughly dry. That way you’ll use much less heat to style it and so you’re less likely to damage it.

  3. Tumble dryer sheets to prevent flyaway hair.  
    Yes, you’ve read it right! Tumbler dryer sheets counteract static build-up, preventing flyaway hair. It’s a good idea to carry a dryer sheet in your makeup case or handbag. So you’re always prepared and your bag will smell wonderfully fresh.

  4. Sleep on a silk pillow.
    It prevents hair breakage. Your hair will be healthier and break less. A nice side effect: silk pillows are thought to prevent wrinkles forming on your face as your skin glides over the pillow rather than lying in folds.

  5. Weekly oil treatment.
    Apply oil to your hair once a week and leave it to work for at least an hour (or overnight- the longer the better!). Coconut or olive oil are the best. If you suffer from dandruff and an itchy scalp, you can massage the oil into your scalp rather than just into the hair lengths. Wash it out with your normal shampoo. You’ll see how shiny and healthy your hair is after only one application.
