Bye, bye - cellulite!
Almost every woman is familiar with the annoying problem of cellulite. Even slim legs aren’t safe against it. And once you have it, it’s really hard to get rid of.
The main reason is that women’s bodies are naturally programmed to have these common dimples. It’s because the connective tissue is designed so that the fibres don’t tear during pregnancy and it all stays relaxed. But the tissues also behave like that when you’re not pregnant. Also, fat cells tends to be stored on your buttocks and legs.
But there are a few tricks you can use to combat cellulite.
Psst! - we’ll share with you our great beauty secrets:
Alternating showers
Alternating showers are healthy! Switching between hot and cold water contracts and widens the blood vessels alternately and so boosts blood and lymph circulation. That minimises the water deposits that can cause unsightly dimples. You should take alternating showers every day for about 2-3 minutes. Always end with cold water.
Yoga
Sport and increased exercise with regular yoga sessions helps remove toxins from the body and also firms the connective tissues. Fat is broken down, and the circulation and lymph flow are stimulated.
Massages
Massages can break down fat deposits as the skin is kneaded and compressed. Fat can also be rolled from the connective tissues. Blood circulation and lymph flow are boosted and water deposits are prevented. It successfully reduces fatty tissue. To achieve success, you need to have regular massages. If you also use a cellulite oil, even better results can be achieved.
Diet
The right diet is crucial for even skin. If you have weak connective tissue and easily develop fat and water deposits, you should ideally avoid saturated fatty acids, white flour products and too much sugar. It’s also a good idea to eat a low sat and fat diet. Fruit and vegetables, potassium rich foods such as potatoes, apricots, bananas, ginger and artichokes support the detoxification process. Proteins (eg. fish or poultry) and citrus fruits strengthen the connective tissue from the inside.
Water
Water supplies the skin with moisture and makes it beautifully firm and plump. You should drink about 2-3 litres a day. In summer and when you’re exercising you need more to combat loose tissue.
