Scientists made a highly interesting discovery at a sake brewery: Galactomyces filtrate is an ingredient rarely if ever used in Germany because it is very expensive to extract. B y chance, Galactomyces was discovered during the production of sake. The scientists blamed this on contact with the fermented yeast. SK II placed additional emphasis on using a very special fementated yeast, now called Galactomyces.
