Food for a natural glow

Firstly, radiant skin which a slight shine that looks healthy and plump. But of course health comes from the inside and a radiant face is achieved not only with the right care products and cosmetics. Diet also plays a vital part. After all, ‘you are what you eat’.

To get a fantastic complexion that’s radiant from the inside and the outside, there are various foods that should be part of your diet.

Turmeric

Turmeric isn’t very well known in Germany, but that is changing. The spice is used in many Asian dishes, but the positive effects of the yellow root have long been known elsewhere. Turmeric stimulates fat burning and is anti-inflammatory.  The yellow pigment in turmeric is an antioxidant, which protects the cells against free radicals and supports the skin’s natural regeneration.

Eggs

Radiant skin can’t of course be pale. If you have pale skin, you might have a zinc deficiency. This trace element ensures effective collagen production, which makes your face plump and firm. But you don’t need to take tablets. Often it’s enough to have a boiled egg for breakfast. Chicken’s eggs are packed full of zinc.

Omega 3 fatty acids.

Fat used to be thought of as the enemy, but now it’s a friend again. Of course, not all fats, only the healthy ones. Such as omega 3 fatty acids. They are vital not only for good brain function, but they also stimulate cell metabolism. This makes fatty acids the ultimate anti-ageing products. They smooth out even deep wrinkles.  To consume these miracle fats you need to eat salmon, avocado and walnuts.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps the body combat not only flu, but also when you look pale and tired. Nutritional supplements with high levels of vitamin C contain not only antioxidants, but also substances that boost collagen production. Again you don’t need dietary supplements- you just need to go and buy some fruit and vegetables. Of course citrus fruits contain high levels of vitamin C, but so do tomatoes and peppers.

Carotene

A sun-kissed face often looks not only rested, but also fresh and healthy. To achieve this glow without going on a sunbed or out in the sun, you can take a supplement that contains carotene. Alpha and beta carotene give you a natural bronzed appearance and are present in many foods. Foods such as carrots or pumpkin, but also juicy oranges are ideal.
