The wedding season is beginning!

We’ll tell you about the wedding trends for this year so you know what’s ahead. Because they should be part of any perfect wedding.

Forest weddings

Nature is currently having a big comeback at weddings. Instead of coolly elegant wedding locations, many couples are choosing to get married in the forest. It’s much more romantic and relaxed and fits with the current Boho style. Because...

Boho is still in vogue.

It’s really relaxed, the bride has flowers in her hair and is maybe barefoot: Boho weddings remain a trend for this year. The hippy style is perfect for those who want to celebrate in laid-back surroundings. There’s no strict dress code, so it’s perfect for a fun party.

Best in Autumn

With its golden leaves, the forest is even more beautiful in autumn than in summer, which is why so many couples decide to get married in autumn. For the guests that means:  Take some sturdy shoes and a jacket.

Barbeque rather than gourmet.

And it’s true that: tasty food makes people happy. So a juicy barbequed steak instead of goose liver pate. That’s why, this wedding season, the barbeque buffet is the trend. A high quality barbeque is especially exciting: On the grill are high quality cuts of meat such as fillet of beef or lamb, as well as fish and vegetarian delicacies.

Obviously the bride and groom themselves don’t stand at the BBQ, but have cooks to do it.  It’s a great alternative to the usual wedding buffet!

Doughnut wall and waffle bar

After the main course comes dessert. Last season it was the candy bar, now it’s the doughnut wall. Doughnuts are great: they’re delicious and should have a place at any wedding. But the trend hasn’t become very widespread yet, so the doughnut wall still comes as a surprise to many guests, marking out the couple for individuality.

The same goes for the waffle bar. Everyone makes waffles, so why shouldn’t they be part of the wedding buffet?

Less is more.

Too much decoration, or kitsch decoration doesn’t show good taste. Designers have long known that real beauty lies in simplicity. So for weddings this seasons it’s all about:  minimalism and achieving maximum elegance.

Love in pink

When it comes to decoration, invitations, table cards or notes of thanks, this season the trend is for pink: ‘Dusty rose wedding’

Movement is vital

A photo booth at weddings has been commonplace for a while. It always adds fun, but this season you can impress guests with a gif booth! Nobody will have seen one before! It gives you not only a photo, but it shoots a series that’s turned into a moving image.
