Bircher muesli: Healthy breakfast for every day

Bircher muesli was developed in Switzerland and is pure whole food. It encourages the bodies self-healing power and stimulates the intestine function. Preparing it the day before it’s made up super quick and makes up the perfect foundation for a healthy day. 

Ingredients:

  • 250g oats (fine)
  • 350ml milk (of your choice)
  • 50g raisins
  • 50g almonds (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 medium-sized apples
  • fruit of your choice as topping

Preperation:

  1. Put oats and all other ingredients - accept apples - into a bowl and stir up well. 
  2. Peel and core apples and mash them up.
  3. Add mash to oats and other ingredients and stir up again. 
  4. Add honey if needed.
  5. Leave muesli for 3-4 hours in the fridge. 
  6. Top with fruit before eating.
  7. If the consistency is too thin or too thick after 3 hours, add oats or milk.
