The Beauty ABC: ginseng

According to Chinese legend, ginseng appeared after lightening struck the ground, giving the plant ‘heavenly power’.

Nowadays ginseng is used a lot in southern Asia, where it is considered a remedy for various diseases. Sadly there is no longer any naturally growing ginseng. It is only cultivated artificially for cosmetic purposes.

Ginseng has multifaceted properties due to its rich composition. For example, it contains ginsenoside, which can comprise up to 20% of ginseng.  Experts believe that this is the basis of the healing properties of plants. It also contains B group vitamins, vitamin C, various minerals such as magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron, as well as fol- and pantothenic acids, pectin and amino acids.

So we can say with certainty that every woman will find all the important substances that she needs in ginseng. It has a positive effect on the overall condition of the skin. For example, it helps greasy skin to produce less sebum, to cleanse the pores and remove toxins.Women with dry skin can benefit from ginseng’s ability to regulate the skin’s water content, nourishing the epidermis and promoting cell regeneration. Ginseng complex also benefits women with normal skin. It harmonises the skin tone, normalises metabolic processes and gives a healthy glow to the cheeks.

Ginseng has another special quality for which is it valued:  anti-ageing. It contains a lot of essential oils, carbohydrates, vitamins and microelements, which prevent premature skin ageing. These components stimulate regeneration of the skin cells, smooth out wrinkles and prevent new wrinkles appearing. Ginseng also normalises metabolic processes, so it can activate the synthesis of collagen, the ”protein of youth”. The more intensively the protein synthesises, the firmer the appearance of your skin. Beautiful natural face tightening achieved without going to a beauty salon! Ginseng also enriches the epidermis with oxygen. The plant helps to combat  pigment spots and protects skin against environmental influences.

Ginseng has the same effect on the scalp. Shampoos and masks that contain ginseng increase blood circulation and so promote faster hair growth and prevent hair loss. Ginseng makes hair more flexible, smoother and shinier. It protects hair against the negative effects of wind, sun and saltwater.
