The story of Roger & Gallet begins in Italy, following in the footsteps of a young Italian named Giovanni Paolo Feminis, who in 1693 invented a miracle water, Acqua Mirabilis, a remedy based on 18 medicinal plants grown in a monastery in Florence, the garden of the common people. This healing water was supposed to cure many diseases, either by rubbing or by cleansing. The regenerating neroli, the refreshing lavender, the anti-inflammatory lemongrass, the antiseptic thyme... the miracle recipe crossed the centuries and borders to Cologne, where a certain Jean Marie Joseph Farina inherited it and patented it: eau de cologne was born.

The manufacture of Roger & Gallet products is exclusively French. It is based on traditional know-how that is passed down from generation to generation. All feel-good bottles are made from 25% recycled glass. All boxes are made in France from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper. The paper and wood are sourced in an environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible way.
