What is dehydration and why is it a problem for the skin?
Dehydration is the condition in which the skin dries out superficially and loses moisture. This can be caused by factors such as incorrect skin care, environmental stress or insufficient moisturisation. After cleansing the face, the skin often loses some of its moisture and needs to reabsorb it in order to avoid inflammation, irritation and clogged pores. In addition, the pH value of the skin increases after cleansing, which jeopardises the barrier function. Skintegra Nectar helps to regulate the pH and retain the skin's moisture so that it can better maintain its protective barrier.

Skintegra Nectar also contains chelating agents that bind metal ions from hard water. These metal ions can react with the fatty acids in sebum and form insoluble layers on the skin, which can lead to rough skin.
