Bastien has chosen a chic black candle jar in which to light the first candle of his new collection. The top note, the liveliest, the freshest, the wildest note that emerges at first light, is reminiscent of wood: Pine needles, spices and mugwort, a stimulating plant much favoured by the Gauls. The middle notes that give the fragrance its character combine the sensual scents of citrus fruits and conifers with the nobility and elegance of cedarwood. Like the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland that suddenly disappears, leaving only your smile, the base notes continue to float in the air after the candle has been extinguished. The unforgettable deep notes that remain with us conjure up the scent of moss, enriched with a drop of white sandalwood and its delicious aphrodisiac properties.
